Community-Based Compulsory Treatment Orders In Scotland

In recent years a number of countries around the world have introduced powers to compel people with mental disorders living in the community to undergo treatment. This paper explores what has happened in the first six months since community-based compulsory treatment orders were introduced in Scotland in October 2005.
