The Directory has five main sections - all completely revised for 2004/5:

Publishing - includes and A-Z listing of Scottish Publisher Association members and other publishing companies based in Scotland. There are general notes abou the publishing process together with useful contacts and advice about publishing training.

Bookselling - provides information about Scottish booksellers with details on mail order services and areas of special interest

Organisations - gives essential information about book trade organisations such as the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Gaelic Books Council, Scottish Book Trust and the Scottish Poetry Library

Services - updated information about working as a freelancer and gives a listing of publishing services available in Scotland from design, indexing and marketing to photo libraries and print production

Writing - information about Scottish prizes and awards to writers, a listing of journals and magazines and a list of Scottish writers' groups.
