Double Bill

Countless words have been written following Nicholson's death in 2004, but this book is unique in that the words come from one of his own players, Alan Mullery, himself a Tottenham legend, who was signed by Nicholson in the 1960s and preceded to skipper highly successful Spurs side. Mullery will unveil little-known anecdotes; reveal what went on behind the scenes whilst working alongside Nicholson; and relay stories from the many Tottenham heroes, who played with and under Nicholson over the years. The book features illustrations by writer, artist and Tottenham historian Paul Trevillion, who has worked closely with Tottenham over the past 50 years - from the days when Nicholson was a player in the famous Arthur Rowe 'push and run' side of the '50s, through the club's unbeatable Double-winning era of the '60s and onwards through the decades to the present day.
