In Search Of Tiger

"In Search of Tiger" is a golfing journey that begins in the living room of Tiger Woods' home in California, where he and his parents, Earl and Tilda, revealed a 25-year-old mystery to the author. It concerned a missing soldier named Tiger Phong, with whom Woods Snr had served in Vietnam and after whom Woods Jnr was named. Acclaimed sportswriter Tom Callahan undertook a search through Asia for the missing soldier and unearthed the facts about his life and tragic death. Out of this connection came a certain access to one of the most famous (and famously inaccessible) young men in the world. The book brings the great golfing Meccas of Augusta, Pebble Beach and St Andrews to life and draws further portraits of Royal Lytham and St Annes, Prestwick and Royal County Down.
