Long the subject of prose, poetry and prayer, Iona has also been portrayed by numerous visiting artists for over two centuries. This rich visual record is explored for the first time in this book, from early sketchers and Victorian watercolourists through to 20th century painters who achieved international renown, such as Scottish colourists F.C.B.
