    Maw Broon's Cookbook - Hardback
A facsimile of Maw Broon's very own cookbook, first made for her by her mother-in-law when 'Maw' married 'Paw', and added to over the years with recipes for every day and special days, from friends and neighbours, and others that simply caught Maw's eye in The Sunday Post or cut-out of the back of a flour bag.

Maw Broon's Cookbook has been a huge success, with the first print run selling out in a week. People around the world are enjoying the nostalgic look back at the cooking of yesteryear, with classic Scots recipes such as Cullen Skink, Clootie Dumpling and stovies.

But much has been made of the high-fat, high-sugar content of some of the recipes, with one nutritionist suggesting that the book should be sold with its own headstone. Many newspapers highlight 'Maw Broon's Breakfast' as the worst offender - not realising that it's really Hen Broon's special recipe, below:

Surely no nutritionist can take issue with Jeannie Broon's - Maw's Maw-in-Law - recommended breakfast, Porridge. Jeannie even suggests "[Pa] will appreciate the sassidges mair when he gets them if you mak' him porridge mair regularly". And who can argue with that?
