Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde
In February 2007, the City of Edinburgh went Kidnapped crazy with the launch of the Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature "One Book - One Edinburgh" reading campaign. The huge success of the Kidnapped campaign has inspired the City of Literature to turn to another of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novels, The Strange Case of Dr Jeykll and Mr Hyde, for the 2008 campaign.
Four Editions of the Graphic Novel

There are four graphic novels of The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde being published on February 21st. They are written and illustrated by the winning Scottish team of Alan Grant and Cam Kennedy, who first worked together on Kidnapped. A free paperback novel will be given away to high schools and libraries across Edinburgh.

The Classic Novel

The City of Literature are giving away free copies of the classic Stevenson novel, but you can also buy the book from BooksfromScotland.com. The novel comes with a new introduction written by Ian Rankin.
Events Programme

An extensive events programme starts with the launch of all four graphic novel editions on Thursday 21st February 2008. The complete programme is available from the City of Literature website, and includes poetry, discussion, film screenings, readings and city tours of Edinburgh. Many of the events are free, but booking is required.
