Reader's Choices
We asked a number of leading figures in the Gaelic world to pick their "top 10" Gaelic books. The task isn't easy, so we haven't asked for the lists to be ranked in any particular order.
- The first respondent is author and poet Martin MacIntyre, who has answered in both Gaelic and English
We asked Scottish authors and TV personalities to pick their 'Top 3' Scottish novels. We've also asked the Primary 6 pupils of South Queensferry Primary School and Tollcross Primary School, in Edinburgh, about their favourite Scottish books.
- BBC Scotland Political Editor Brian Taylor and Scottish TV anchor John MacKay sent us their Top 3 books
- Children's author Anne Fine has picked 3 of her favourite books
