Resources for Readers and Writers
The first point of call for any aspiring writer is typically the Literary Agent, who will work with an author to sell their book to a publisher. An Agent will help with contracts, rights, and the business of getting published.
Increasingly, authors are turning to writing consultancies to help them with the creative process itself - paying for feedback on writing style, language, tone, presentation and more.
Scotland's newest 'writing consultancy' is The Writing Room, set up by agent Maggie McKernan.
