WORD Writers Festival 2006
Aberdeen
May 06 sees the launch of the line-up of the biggest literary event the North-east has ever seen. The Word Festival has fast become one of Scotland's most popular and exciting arts events.
Each year Aberdeen's Book Festival attracts 10,000 visitors to a packed weekend of readings, music, art exhibitions, and film screenings by some of the world's finest writers and artists.
Word takes place at the charming medieval campus of the University of Aberdeen and at venues throughout the city.
