Appeal to preserve Braille press
The BBC is reporting an a £2m appeal to save Royal Blind's Scottish Braille Press, a machine built in the 1960s and urgently needing repair work. The appeal has been backed by Edinburgh's own Ian Rankin, who said:
"It is vital that we support organisations like the Braille Press and Royal Blind and the important role they fulfil for people all over the country."
