Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship
The National Library of Scotland, in conjunction wtih the Scottish Arts Council, is inviting applications for the 2007 Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship. The Fellowship provides accommodation for two months in 2007 in a self-catering studio apartment at the Hôtel Chevillon International Arts Centre at Grez-sur-Loping, on the edge of the Forest in Fontainebleau in France. Travel and accommodation is paid for and there is a grant of £2,400 to cover living expenses.
The Fellowship provides this creative space for writers to:
- take time away from their usual environment
- embark on a new literary venture
- meet other artists and exchange ideas
- absorb nbew cultural and social influences
Applications should be submitted by 1st September 2006; a shortlist of applicants will be interviewed in Edinburgh. Applicants must be published writers resident in Scotland or of Scottish birth, not be in full-time education, and available in 2007.
