Carry Me Down Wins Award
Carry Me Down by MJ Hyland has won the 2007 Hawthornden Prize. The prize, worth £10,000, was published in 1919.
Carry Me Down is published by Edinburgh company Canongate Books, and has already won the Encore Award 2007, and was shortlisted for both the Man Book and Commonweath Writers' Prizes this year.
