Happenstance Story Competition

HappenStance Press has just announced its second short story competition.

Last year, this Fife-based independent pamphlet publisher ran a successful story competition judged by award-winning novelist James Robertson. Winning stories were published in a chapbook, with a judge’s preface, but all entrants were offered a free tick-box critique of their work.

This year the judge will be former actor and comedy performer, Susie Maguire, whose stories have been frequently broadcast on Radio Scotland and Radio 4.

The competition offers cash prizes (£120.00, £75.00 and £50.00) as well as publication in a winners’ anthology.

Entry fee is £3.50 per story and closing date is 2 February, 2008. Full entry details can be accessed on the HappenStance website or by post from HappenStance, 21 Hatton Green, Glenrothes, Fife KY7 4SD.

Closing Date:

Saturday 2nd February 2008
