Royal Mail Awards 2009 Shortlist

Scottish Book Trust have announced the highly-awaited shortlist for the 2009 Royal Mail Awards for Scottish Children’s Books. This is Scotland's largest children's book award, worth a total of £12,000, and is split into three categories. The winners will be chosen by Scottish children, who will vote for their favourite books. Already, over 11,000 children have registered to vote.

The awards are supported by The Royal Mail and Crerar Hotels. All nine shortlisted books will be transcribed into Braille, audiobook and large print editions by the Royal National Institute of Blind People Scotland.
