11am - Workshop - Writing Poetry

Small is beautiful but with poetry, often the most difficult. Poet Liz Niven will help you create brief but beautiful poems to capture all occasions. (Maximum 20 places)

Writers write and publishers publish, don’t they? Not necessarily, says author Keith A Charters: new technology is opening up alternative publishing models. Self-publishing isn’t right for everyone. How do you go about it? And is it right for you?

Distance

Two Scottish-based writers looking to America. Cynthia Rogerson, a Californian who has made the Highlands her home, weaves a funny, touching tale of humanity in Love Letters from my Death-bed; while Ewan Morrison explores passion, sex and obsession in Distance, a love affair started in New York then conducted by phone across the Atlantic.
