Edinburgh International Book Festival 2011
The 2011 Edinburgh International Book festival is the largest celebration of books and literature in the world. With hundreds of events and authors from all over the world, the programme runs from 13th to 29th of August and is set in the Charlotte Square gardens in the west of the city.
There is a children's programme of events for kids of all ages, four 'guest selectors', and the themes for 2011 will be Legends of Modern Literature, Living Memory, India: Growing Pains and Europe in the New Era. A new strand of free and unticketed events, Unbound, is sponsored by The Skinny and presents a mix of storytelling, song, performance and poetry in the Spiegeltent each evening.
Booking opens on Sunday 26th June.
