This fun, family show features the work of the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio. Fizzers, a Scottish word for faces, includes Scotland's most famous faces, from the worlds of pop music, politics, sport, stage and screen. The exhibition coincides with the launch of the book Fizzers, from Mercat Press.
Over 250 works feature in this show and personalities from the word of entertainment such as Annie Lennox, Rod Stewart, JK Rowling, Billy Connolly, Ewan McGregor, Colin and Justin, Carol Smilie and Sharleen Spiteri will appear alongside Scottish sporting greats like Alex Ferguson, Henrik Larsson and Sir Jackie Stewart. A great day out for all the family: have fun spotting your favourite celebs, and take part in one of our special family activity days during the School and Bank holidays. On the 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17 April and 27, 28, 29 May, there'll be live caricature sessions where you can see the experts at work, and even have a go yourself!
This exhibition has been specifically organised to mark the increasing status of caricature in Scotland.
