The 2006 Edinburgh International Book Festival

Charlotte Square
Edinburgh

Writers are flocking from all over the world – in greater numbers than ever before, from more nations than ever before – to the tented village in the heart of Edinburgh. People are flocking to meet them. This year there are over 600 authors, from Nobel Prize winners to exciting new voices, from over 35 different countries.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival remains the biggest and best literary festival in the world, in a city already reknown for its festivals.

Rather than list every event at the book festival, we have highlighted the best Scottish events - book launches and author readings from Scottish authors and publishers. Look out also for author interviews and other features from the book festival, coming soon.

Saturday 12th August to Monday 28th August 2006
