A welcome appearance from this unique poet, translator and academic who hails from Galloway and has, for over half a century, published extensively and won numerous awards. A champion of South American literature, and a staff writer and South American editor for The New Yorker, he is renowned for his translations of Jorge Luis Borges and Pablo Neruda. He has published more than 20 books including his poetry and prose in Oases, Whereabouts, Weathering and To Lighten My House. Reid will discuss his fascinating career and read from his work.
