To celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March 2007, Word*Power Books are hosting an evening of women's writing and translations in association with Scottish PEN. Writers in attendance will be Anna Crowe, Christine De Luca, Tessa Ransford, Bashabi Fraser and Morelle Smith, and they will be reading from an international selection of writing, from Scandinavia, Catalonia, France, Switzerland, Bengal and Germany.
Scottish PEN is a member of the International PEN organisation, a community of writers upholding freedom of expression and supports writers imprisoned because of their beliefs and writings.
