The University of Glasgow is hosting to literary lectures in a new lecture series organised by the School Of English And Scottish Language And Literature.

The first lecture, by Professor Nigel Leask, is titled Crossing the Shadow Line: Burns, Scottish Romanticism and the English Literary Canon, and will be re-examining Anglo-Scottish literary relations in the 19th century.

The second lecture, by Professor Alan Riach, is Once Upon a Time in the West of Scotland: Edwin Morgan, Modernity and Myth.

Tea and coffee will be served between the two lectures, at 3.30pm.
