The fourth Aye Write! Bank of Scotland Book Festival, takes place at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow. Many of Scotland's most popular authors will be in attendance, and we have picked out our Scottish highlights from their packed programme.

Friday 6th March

  • 7.30pm - Three Glasgow novelists who have lived outside Scotland: Laura Marney, Louise Welsh and ZoĆ« Strachan
  • 9pm - Scottish Poetry Slam Championship Final - Only 2 minutes to impress the judges

    The History Of The Beano: The Story So Far - Hardback
    The first issue of 'The Beano' was published on July 30th 1938. This text presents a history of the best-known British comic of all time. It tracks the evolution of 'The Beano', decade by decade, from the period leading up to its launch right through to the present day.
