Scottish Studies at the 2007 MLA Convention

The Modern Language Association's 123rd annual convention will be held in Chicago, and the Scottish Writing Exhibition will be there at stand #600. Organised for the Association for Scottish Literary Studies International Committee by Dr Gwen Enstam and Mr Duncan Jones, a number of Scottish authors and academics will be attending, including Louise Welsh and Iain Finlay Macleod.

- Patterns in Time: The Scottish Nordic Synergy, chaired by Donna Heddle
- A Reading by Two Scottish Novelists with Louise Welsh and Iain Finlay Macleod
- Ghostly National Imaginings: Scotland in the Nineteenth Century, chaired by David Radcliffe
- Future Spaces, Scottish Places, chaired by Caroline McCracken-Flesher
- 'Reinventing the Nation': New Directions in Scottish Literature, chaired by Kenneth McNeil
