The twentieth Guardian Hay Festival runs from 24th May to 3rd June this year, and a number of Scottish authors will be appearing, including Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall Smith.
Saturday 26th May
- 11.30am, Barclays Wealth Pavilion - Alexander McCall Smith will be talking to Paul Blezard about the eighth novel in his No.1 Ladies series, The Good Husband of Zebra Drive.
- 4pm, Guardian Stage - William Dalrymple will be discussing Bahadur Shah Zafar II, The Last Mughal, in an event chaired by Hannah Rothshchild.
Monday 28th May
- 2.30pm, Guardian Stage - Ian Rankin talks to Marcel Berlins as part of a celebration of twenty years of the Rebus series.
- 5.30pm, Barclays Wealth Pavilion - BBC Political Correspondent Andrew Marr will be launching his new book, A History of Modern Britain
Tuesday 29th May
- 10am, Elmley Foundation Theatre - In You Cannae Throw Your Grannie off a Bus, children's author Mairi Hedderwick shares stories from the latest Katie Morag book.
- 11.15am, Elmley Foundation Theatre - Cathy Cassidy talks about her latest novel for young teenagers, Sundae Girl.
Wednesday 30th May
- 3.45pm, Segovia Stage - Allan Guthrie will be sharing a stage with crime writers Alex Barclay and Colin Bateman, where he will be talking about Hard Man.
- 6.15pm, Guardian Stage - Iain Banks talks to Claire Armistead about his novel The Steep Approach to Garbadale.
Friday 1st June
- 7.30pm, Segovia Stage - Robin Hardy, director of The Wicker Man, talks about the movie(s), novelisations and non-fiction books, and his own sequel, Cowboys for Christ
Sunday 3rd June
- 4pm, Barclays Wealth Pavilion - Comedian Ronnie Corbett talks about his autobiography And It's Goodnight from Him.
