National Poetry Day

Thursday October 5th is National Poetry, and events will be held up and down the country. The Scottish Storytelling Centre will be highlighting the work of poet and novelist George Mackay Brown, with other major events in Edinburgh, Bute and Cowal.

  • National Library of Scotland, 3pm - 'Scotland: A Celebration in poetry and song' with poet Stewart Conn and musician Rod Paterson
  • Scottish Poetry Library, 5pm - launch of 100 Favourite Scottish Poems, chosen by a BBC survey and co-published with Luath Press.
