National Poetry Day 2008

National Poetry Day is a celebration of poetry and poets. Each year, a series of poetry postcards are produced, and this year the theme is 'Work'. For the first time, the Scottish Poetry Library have commissioned a Gaelic poem from Màrtainn Mac an t-Saoir (Martin MacIntyre) for their series of postcards. Other contributors include Tom Leonard and Julia Donaldson. The postcards are distributed to schools throughout the country, or you can download them directly from us.
