Society of Authors in Scotland Blog

Welcome to a blog from the Society of Authors in Scotland. Members of the committee will take it in turns to sound off about some aspect of the business of being a writer - whether it's price discounting, Scottish sections in bookshops, Amazon Marketplace, age-banding or the daily grind - sorry, joy - of trying to earn a living as an author. Each entry will be the personal opinion of the writer - whether light-hearted, passionate or simply interesting. And if there's anything you'd like us to write about, do let us know by adding a comment.

The Society of Authors acts as the trade union for published authors throughout the UK. The Scottish branch has over 550 members, and is growing fast. We provide support, advice, a campaigning voice, and a wide variety of events for our members and their guests all over Scotland.

Nicola Morgan, Chair of the Society in Scotland, kicks off with something that's annoying her at the moment.
