• Carola will help stimulate new poems and look at how to turn your notes into poetry.

• Poetry Masterclass with George Szirtes
• 10am, GU Crichton Campus, Dumfries
• George will look in detail at selected participant's poems. Submit a poem ( by e-mail attachment only, to andrew@dgaa.net by Friday 31st August) or simply come along and listen, and learn what makes a poem work.

• Poetry Workshop with Matthew Sweeney
• 2.00, Lochthorn Library, Dumfries
• Matthew will show you how to generate new poems and look at what makes a good poem.
