12noon - Linda Cracknell - Walks on the Wild Side
Renowned for her short stories, in July 2007 Linda Cracknell began a project to write a collection of essays recounting walks that follow human resonances in wild landscapes.

3.30pm - Clara Weatherall - The Thistle and the Jade
In the early 1830s, William Jardine from Dumfriesshire met fellow Scot, James Matheson, in China and formed the Jardine Matheson Company.
