David Kinloch's verses speak with quiet intensity on behalf of personal, cultural and sexual difference as he explores the creative territory of ‘in-betweenness' and the strangeness of language itself, whether speaking in Scots, French, English or all three tongues.

Written in English, with some Scots verses and some French, Un Tour d'Ecosse includes a poem about a race around Scotland, modelled on the Tour de France, in which Walt Whitman and Federico Garc¸a Lorca both wear the maillot jaune!
