Samuel Best

Samuel Best grew up in a small town in central Scotland, writing stories about boys on fire and what would happen if the sun went out. He studied creative writing at the University of Strathclyde, where he began writing his first novel, Shop Front. Between chapters, Samuel’s shorter fiction has been published in the likes of Little Fiction, Frostwriting, The Cadaverine, and Industry Night. After graduating, Samuel helped set up Octavius, a literary magazine for students, and he has appeared at book festivals and in schools across Scotland.
